The Drain Board oversees drainage projects under the Drain Code of 1956. The board consists of the Ottawa County Water Resources Commissioner, the County Board Chair, and the Finance Committee Chair. The Water Resources Commissioner is the Drain Board’s chairperson, guiding decisions on drainage projects, ensuring proper maintenance and construction of drains, and managing related financial assessments.
