The Recipient Rights Advisory Committee ensures the protection of recipient rights within the community mental health system. The committee meets at least twice a year to review rights-related policies, monitor trends, and recommend improvements. It advises leadership on recipient rights issues, reviews reports, and helps maintain fairness and accountability in the rights protection process. Additionally, the committee plays a role in selecting and overseeing the Office of Recipient Rights director and serves as the appeals body for certain rights-related complaints. The committee is made up of the Community Mental Health Board of Directors. Meetings are open to the public. For more information, contact Community Mental Health.
